This morning I have been learning to subtract from ten. My equation was 10 - 5 = 5. I used the line tool to take away five from ten

This is my grouping within ten. Today I have been learning to use the shape tool and paint bucket to show my grouping within ten. My grouping within ten was 4 + 6. I used the circles shape tool to do this.

Final day of badminton

Hurray!! Last Friday we had our last day playing badminton.

First we warmed up by playing a game called stuck in the mud. There were two taggers. I ran around as fast as I can. I got tag, but luckily my friend clapped under my leg and I was free.
 
 After that, we practised hitting the shuttle. It was very hard to hit the shuttle because it kept on falling on the ground.Then ,coach Ben got nets for us so we can have a rally.

We were in six groups (so to make it fair).It was a contest to see who is the champion. I tried not to let my opponent win but the shuttle landed on my side. The opposite team had 12 points and we had 12 points too, so it was a tie. Finally we said goodbye to coach Ben.

I had a wonderful time playing badminton and I hope we have badminton again so I can win to the opposite team.

My silly cat

Help!! My cat Jake  got stuck up a tree. He was chase by a dog.

My dad called the fire fighters to come. When the
fire fighters arrive they were in a fire truck. Then they took the ladder out of the truck.

But they could"not reach the cat because the tree was to tall. so they use a longer ladder.

Finally they got the cat down. And we said thank you to the fire fighters. My family was happy our cat was safe.

Playing "TeeGolf

Am I dreaming? Coaches Kannel and Stu showed us some skills and rules for playing golf. The first rule was to hold the golf club. An easy way is to put your right hand, left hand, feet together, left foot, right foot and piggy pop. He told us another rule which was showing respect to others. The two golden rules is to have fun and be safe. Next rule skills is to show courtesy. Courtesy means letting others go first. The second was to hit the ball into the hoop. When coach Kannel clapped every one clapped back. 

Manaikalani School meet the Waka

Hurray!! Today we meet the people from Hawaii on the Waka.

First we line up to get on the bus. On the bus me and my partner were looking
outside. When we got out  from the bus we sat on to grass.

Next we saw the Waka. The people blew the horn. And we welcome them by
doing the haka.Then a man welcome them in Maori speech. After that we sang a song called He Honore.

Then we sang another song. Finally we hi fived them.
 Then we waited  for the bus.

I had a wonderful time meeting the Hawaiians.``
