I like disco lights!

On the weekend, my mum, brother and I went to pick up my cousin at his house.

We picked him up because we were having a special celebration for my other cousin’s last game of the year for his rugby league team.  When I got to his house, my mum and my brother waited in the car quietly.

I was just about to knock on the door when my cousin opened the door. He came out with his mum and said very loudly, “Bye mum!” Then I walked back to my car while chatting with my cousin.

Afterwards, my mum said that we needed to do some shopping for the party. So we went and bought some delicious food for the party. We bought some lollies and already baked chicken drumsticks. Next we went back home because some of the food that we had bought was for ourselves.

When we got home, my cousin and I grabbed his ball which he had left at my house from our last sleepover.  After a while we went back to the car to help mum to carry our shopping into the house.

After that, it was finally time to walk to the party. I didn't know where it was held at but luckily my mum knew, it was in a rugby league club which was very close to our house, so we decided to walk there. Eventually we got there but we had to wait in a really long line to reach my cousin because there were a lot of people there already.

Finally, we paid two dollars to enter the room. We got a star stamp on our hand, so that if we went outside we could show our stamp to go  back in. Once I walked inside there were a lot of people dancing to the D.J’s music. Colourful lights shone around the rugby club room. It looked really cool because it matched the beats. While I was dancing to the cool beat, my uncle arrived. I said, “Isn’t it awesome!” and my uncle replied,
“Yes!”  I smiled and I went back to the disco floor and continued to dance.

Hours later, a voice came over the radio and it said, “Sorry, the disco is about to finish.” So My mum, cousin, uncle and I went to pack up our things to go home. I had a long and fun day at the disco that day and I hope that I could go to a disco again soon.

My favourite part was when I was dancing in the disco light. I liked it because it was fun.
